Good times at the Johnny Winter gig, Olympia, Washington USA. Mick and Mick at the Hohlenfest, Switzerland Mick was a good man, a strong character and a good hardworking musician, and I thank him for his contribution to my band. I'm glad now to be in touch with his family again, however belatedly. Mick went on to other projects after the MC Band and we lost touch, although the music that he helped to create remained in circulation and the three albums were later re-issued by BGO Records. There would come a point when I just couldn't handle it any more and I would ask Mick to have a word. for example a couple of times when a promoter was trying to underpay us. I would also use Mick's resolve sometimes, to my shame, when a situation was too much for me. But I always knew that Mick was sincere in his convictions and there was, I think, a mutual respect between us. ![]() We didn't always agree, both on musical and business matters, and there were some frictions between us. He played on a couple of tracks in particular which are still popular today, the moody instrumental "New Star Over Texas" and the bluesrock "Talking With The Blues" with Chris Sharley on drums and Mike Bramwell on the keyboard. In the studio Mick did a solid job, usually preferring to overdub his bass lines, resulting in a tight professional sound. ![]() You had to be doing it just for the experience and the music - there wasn't much else, other than a lot of hard work and hard travelling.īut Mick embraced the road life and also became in charge of the band's transportation, supplying and maintaining a Mercedes bus which we used for all our tours. In the MC Band Mick worked well with our drummer Mike Hirsh - they were close as friends and musicians, and this was important at a time when, initially, there was very little money to go round. After I left, the unit went to Bearsville Studio in the USA and recorded a complete album, but I don't think it was ever released. What was known as "Getting It Together In The Country". Later he teamed up with singer / songwriter Dave Reid, and I was a part of that project for a short time, recording tracks at Island Studios and The Manor, in Oxfordshire, and memorably rehearsing for a couple of weeks in a cottage on the Pembrokeshire coast. I had first met Mick when he was playing with a band called Erminor Gerome, which also featured a young Rod DeAth. He also played on the albums "Steel and Fire", "Tell The Truth" and " No Compromise". He was with us when we first ventured into Central Europe playing long tours of Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Holland as well as two of the US tours. Mick was the bass player with the Mick Clarke Band in probably our busiest ever period, in the late 80s and early 90s. Mick writes: Mick Phillips passed away on the 19th of February 2021 after battling cancer for five years. ![]()

![]() Initially meant for a second Buckingham-Nicks album, “Monday Morning” wound up becoming the very first entry in the iteration of the band that would become global superstars. The opening track from the first Fleetwood Mac album with Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks in the band, “Monday Morning” is a bright, bold first offering from Buckingham. ![]() So, without further ado, from “Little Lies” to “Rhiannon” to “Go Your Own Way” to “Gypsy,” here are the 30 greatest Fleetwood Mac songs of all time, ranked. Paste originally made this list in 2014, but it felt like it was high-time for a cultural reassessment of the band’s catalog. Five of the greatest musicians in the world couldn’t find ways to love each other beyond the music, but what they gave us will endure long after all of us are gone. Much of what Fleetwood Mac accomplished in the 12 years they were at their apex feels mythical in retrospect. Much of the band’s greatest work germinated when all five of them-amid intermingled affairs, divorces, breakups and general viciousness-hated each other so much that they couldn’t stand to record their parts together in one room. Their 1977 album Rumours is largely considered one of the greatest albums made since popular music took off 70 years ago. But Nicks continues to tour and play her greatest hits from her time with the band, while John and Fleetwood are still active members.īeginning in 1975 with their self-titled album and ending with Tango in the Night in 1987, the band released five incredible rock records packed with some of the best songs ever written. ![]() We’ll never see that lineup again, because Buckingham left the band for the last time in 2018 and McVie passed away in 2022. Much of that is because of the core Fleetwood Mac lineup, which comprised English musicians Fleetwood, John McVie and Christine McVie and American singer/songwriters Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, beginning in 1975. 56 years later, and the band has transformed into one of the single greatest rock ‘n’ roll acts in music history. In 1967, Fleetwood Mac was formed in London by Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer and Mick Fleetwood as a blues group. ![]() ![]() ![]() OpenSUSE Leap is a Linux distribution that is geared towards professional use.
![]() ![]() Lorekeeper Polkelt remains a staple in Highlander Priest, but the increased cost means that it will take a bit longer to find your Raza and Spawn of Shadows.Įven with a reworked core, Darkglare Warlock is immorally strong. Aggro Druid becomes a bit weaker with the Voracious Reader change, but the card is now a possible inclusion in decks like Odd Demon Hunter. The recent balance changes have made a small but noticeable impact on the meta. The ones that survive are the ones able to do so. This isn’t anything unexpected as the meta gets faster and more developed, slow decks need to be much more resilient to reach their win conditions. If you’re looking for completely new decks, then Control Tickatus Warlock and OTK Warrior are performing better than expected, while Silas Mill Druid and Secret Hunter haven’t lived up to the hype. ![]() The rise of Big Priest, for example, paved the way for Malygos Druid to come back, while simultaneously hampering Odd Paladin’s performance. This skewed playrate has led to some decks performing better than others. Novel decks are naturally overplayed due to being new (or having an existing fanbase, like Big Priest). However, they still have strong influences over the meta. These decks have all gotten fairly substantial upgrades from Darkmoon Faire, but weren’t able to sneak into Tier 1 since they weren’t very strong before the expansion. There is a crop of ‘new’ decks sneaking up the ranks that is, if one can call Secret Highlander Mage, Big Priest, Odd Demon Hunter, and Aggro Rogue new. These decks win games very effectively, and with the case of the top Tier 1 decks, they’re also very difficult to counter. All of these decks have gotten at least one slight upgrade to keep them where they are for another cycle. Highlander Priest, Darkglare Warlock, and Aggro Druid remains the trifecta at the top, defeating each other in a rock-paper-scissor fashion. Most of the top decks didn’t change much due to the slight upgrades they got, and the newer ones are nowhere near powerful enough to topple the top dogs off their places. If classes share the same score, the class with more top decks will be ranked higher.ĭarkmoon Faire isn’t as powerful a set as Scholomance Academy is, and this has certainly reflected in the state of the meta. ![]() Therefore, a class can be placed highly on the Ranking system based on one (or both) of these elements: having a few strong decks (deck power) or having many decks (class diversity). For example, if Odd Paladin is High Tier 1 and has a multiplier of 12, it will bring the class an additional 216 points. The highest multiplier is 12 and the lowest is 7. The point system for rating a single deck is as below:Įach deck is also assigned a popularity ranking and a respective coefficient multiplier based on its popularity. Within each tier, decks are categorized to either High tier, Mid tier or Low tier to further differentiate their power level.įor Meta Ranking analysis, we allocate points to each deck from Tier 0 to Tier 3 then sum them up. You either play it or play decks that can beat it. We then collect the result, standardize and categorize them in 4 different Tiers. ![]() We collected our experts’ opinions through a spreadsheet, where our Top Wild legend players will rate the given decks with a corresponding score from 1 to 4 in increments of 0.5 (with 1 being top Tier 1 and 4 being bottom Tier 4). ![]() ![]() ![]() WWE 2K23 Icon Edition WWE 2K23 Icon EditionĬonsiderably more expensive than all the other editions of WWE 2K23 is the Icon Edition, which has a huge focus on John Cena as this year’s cover star. – Early access to the game on March 14th, 2023. – Bad Bunny Bonus Pack (Bad Bunny as a playable wrestler, Ruby tier Bad Bunny MyFACTION card) – 3x Basic Premium Launch MyFACTION Card Packs The souped version of the game, WWE 2K23 Deluxe Edition’s bonuses includes the Season Pass, base game, MyRise and MyFaction bonuses, as well as three days early access on March 14th, 2023.
